Hello
I know people have busy lives and must juggle many responsibilities. Therapy should not feel like another task or item on your "to do" list. My experience is in research based treatment modalities which includes many useful skills and coping tools that I introduce and teach from the start of our work together.
My Story
I am a licensed psychotherapist who has worked in both the Bay Area and Los Angeles for over fifteen years. In my private practice, I have an integrative therapeutic approach based on each person’s unique values and goals. I believe that the therapeutic relationship is pivotal and creating a safe space that is nonjudgmental and accepting is very important to the therapeutic outcome. My style is interactive, and culturally sensitive, and compassionate while also providing problem solving and evidenced based strategies to be practiced and used.
I have a master’s degree in counseling psychology from the University of San Francisco and my experience includes working with adults, couples, children, teens and families. My specialty includes family systems, parenting skills, anxiety, trauma, depression, relationships, and personal growth. I practice Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness, Trauma Informed Therapy, Cognitive-Behavior Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). In addition to providing treatment using these modalities, my experience also includes facilitating groups, training fellow clinicians, supervising, and consulting with professionals. I have worked in a range of settings including schools, a behavioral health hospital (PHP/IOP program), an outpatient DBT clinic and private practice.
When I’m not in session, I am spending time with my family or getting my dog out for a walk. I also love travelling and exploring new places and cultures.
